Victorian Toys Workshop by Silk Museum Macclesfield - Social, Cultural and Spiritual

Class: Y12- Y14 6th Form 2 Year: 2023 - 2024

As part of our 'Community' lesson, the Silk Museum in Macclesfield came to 6th form 2 class to deliver a Victorian Toy workshop. We learnt about what was used in the Victorian times and got to explore all the different toys. We then made a traditional toy ourselves - a thaumatrope, which is an optical toy and one of the earliest forms of animation.
