Celebrating the journeys and accomplishments of ex Park Lane pupils
Izzy Corcoran
After Park Lane, I went to The David Lewis centre. I enjoyed it and saw some of my old Park Lane classmates and made some new friends.
I then had a placement at EduPrint working on computers and doing arts and crafts but that stopped because of lockdown. I really enjoyed writing out invoices for jobs and helping to make personalised t-shirts and mugs. There was also a little shop selling gift cards but it could not afford to reopen after the pandemic.
After lockdown I started my volunteer placement at Park Lane school office. I come every Friday morning and work on jobs such as shredding important documents, admin tasks, keeping the library organised, making cups of tea, checking on Marbles the bearded dragon and helping get things ready for school events.
I live with mum, dad and Morris Jr and Betsy the dogs. I help to look after the dogs which is my favourite thing to do.
My hobbies are listening to music, mainly pop. Relaxing in front of the TV or on my iPad. I help out with shopping and tidying.

My name is Joe and I started at Park Lane School in 2005. I really enjoyed my time at the school and took part in lots of activities whilst I was there. In September 2022, after leaving Park Lane, I started at Seashell College in Cheadle on a sensory course. I lived in one of the college’s residential houses during term-time and I made some good friends and enjoyed being independent. In January 2025 I left college and moved into supported living. I share a house with three other young men and we have staff supporting us. I am looking forward to taking part in lots of different activities and making lots of new friends now that I have moved into my own home.
