St John's School 'Swap'

Lesson: Personal, Social and Emotional Education

Class: Y3-Y5 Hovis Year: 2024 - 2025

Hovis class have been part of a 'school swap' program with St John the Evangelist CofE Primary School to promote integration between mainstream and special schools, as well as to allow for interactions and friendships with age-related peers.

Pupils from St John's came to Hovis class to join us for a festive Sing and Sign lesson and a play in our soft play. They also helped our pupils with preparing snacks and asking pupils what they would like to eat. Our students loved getting to play with new friends and were so excited to show off our school!

We then went to visit St John's school to watch the dress rehearsal performance of their Nativity, as well as having the chance to explore their classroom and ask questions. 

Pupils from both schools did an amazing job at being helpful, kind and brave when meeting new people!
