On Friday 11th February The Mayor of Macclesfield, Councillor David Edwardes, along with Macclesfield Town Rangers came to plant a beautiful Sorbus 'Joseph Rock' Rowan tree as part of the Queen's Jubilee Green Canopy event. The Mayor and rangers were met by the Sixth Form students who led them to the garden and helped to finish planting the tree, which is situated in the school garden area. Andy, the hea dranger told us all about the tree and how it has different colours in each season. We were excited to meet the Mayor and are looking forward to watching the tree grow and show us its many colours.
